Privacy Policy

Deluge Client is designed to help users connect to and manage their own Deluge server from a mobile device. This policy explains what information may be processed by the app and how that information is used.

1. Data processed by the app

The app may process the server URL you provide, application preferences, language selection, and the data returned by your own Deluge server that is necessary to display torrents, settings, and server status.

2. Purpose of processing

This information is used only to allow the app to connect to your Deluge server, display relevant server information, and perform the actions you request inside the app.

3. Local storage

No data is stored on any remote servers; everything remains stored locally on your device within the application. Configuration data required for the app to function may be stored locally on your device. This can include connection settings and app preferences. The app is not intended to upload this information to third-party analytics or advertising services.

4. Data sharing

Deluge Client does not sell personal data. It does not intentionally share your personal information with advertising networks or unrelated third parties. Communication occurs only between the app and the Deluge server that you choose to connect to.

5. Legal basis

Where applicable, data processing is based on the necessity of providing the functionality requested by the user, as well as the legitimate interest of operating the application in a secure and reliable manner.

6. Your rights

  • Right to access the data stored locally by the application.
  • Right to correct connection information or preferences directly in the app.
  • Right to erase locally stored information by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
  • Right to object to or restrict processing where applicable under local law.

7. Data retention

Data stored locally is retained only as long as necessary for the app to function on your device, or until you remove it by uninstalling the app or clearing its data.

8. Security

Reasonable measures should be taken by the user to secure access to their Deluge server, including using strong credentials and secure network exposure practices when applicable.

9. Unsecured server connections (HTTP)

The application may allow you to connect to a Deluge server over an unsecured connection (HTTP). Doing so is at your own risk. We do not accept any responsibility for the consequences of using the app with an unsecured server, including any exposure of data or credentials.
